Dentists.

I have a gold tooth/crown. Been there for a looooong time.
Recently some food or something may have become caught there. THe gum bleed a bit and became loose on the inside. I upped my tooth cleaning activities and had my routinely 6 month check up, had a clean. I have had nothing wrong with my teeth since the crown went in...mid-late 90s? SO long ago I don't know.
The dentists said it was fine no bleeding, but the gum isn't quite tight back on the tooth, it's not loose, but not tight, if I chew on that side stuff gets caught in the small pocket, and I have started to eat on one side of my mouth to save having to go and use a toothpick to go and wedge out any tiny particles from the pocket.
Is there anything I can do? Will the gum heal tight over time? Is there dental glue or something that will sort it?

THanks for that.
I'm hoping the gum will naturally recede to the base of the crown, to get rid of the pocket.

Thanks, I got some tepee brushes last time I did an OSCE at the dentist school.

Will that keep the pocket open?
