Hayfever - Grass pollen

Hey folks,
having an absolutely dreadful time with hay fever just now. I have had it every year for as long as I can remember from late may to late July.
What is the best treatments to use - I have the haymax stuff you put around your nose and eyes and that was ok but now onto tablets as well.
Each year I take different off the shelf tablets, this years its Piriteze (Cetirizine hydrochloride) and they are ok but not 100% effective, any other recommendations much appreciated!

Talking of long term health effects, I heard some long term use was mentioned in the press as causing dementia! Not sure if that was scare mongering!
