Same Day Dental Implants

A colleague has been seen a website for a practice offering same day dental implants so instead of waiting three months or so it could be done in a day:

Is this possible? Could one of the dentists on here comment on if this is an established procedure? The cost is quite reasonable - about £2800 per tooth.

Well the colleague is only a £100 flight away so it's not too bad.

I also thought it took a month at least for the implant to settle, hence the reason for asking the question on here.
