Had a headache since 8th June!
Discussion
Okay, so I've always had headaches, it runs in the family. I would probably get one per week.
However, since the 5th of June, nearly two months, I've had a pretty much constant headache everyday. I've been to the doctor and she think it's chronic tension and I'm taking amitriptyline, which I don't think is really helping. The headaches are bearable but some days they're worse than others(like today) and it really f**ks me off! Most of the time I can zone out and ignore them but I'm getting to the end of my tether.
I've probably left some important details out but any advise or help would be truly grateful.
Thank you!

I assume you're taking on enough water and your diet is healthy?
4-5ltrs of water a day and I'd say diet is about average yeah. It'd be such a stupid way to run into problems but that's enough water to theoretically cause some electrolyte wonkiness and it's a beautifully easy fix.

That's too much unless you're working in a sauna. I'd suggest cutting down on water to about 2.5 litres a day and see if that helps - one of the first symptoms of water intoxication is headache.
Well, I usually just have a bottle with me which I keep filled, and drink when I'm thirsty, and I've dome this for years so I'm not sure it'd be the cause of a sudden two month headache?EL11SEG said:
I was getting constant headaches a few months back. I put it to the fact these days I have to constantly crack my neck which would ease it. Then I remembered I had changed my coffee, still decaf but a new stronger brand, I dumped it and it's been better. Have you changed anything like this food wise?
I still took a headache once a week then as a crazy person heard about daith piercing which can perhaps help and gave that a try not had once since tbh.
I was on a diet program, 800 calories a day of milkshakes and controlled meals. I stopped this at end of May I still took a headache once a week then as a crazy person heard about daith piercing which can perhaps help and gave that a try not had once since tbh.
Think this might be it?

Don't know if it's taken a month to materialise. Daft as this may sound have you taken a knock to the jaw? 20 odd years ago I was in an accident, I don't remember hitting my head but they took me to hospital. I again started getting constant headaches, only when I went to the dentist they commented on how my bite was out. Ended up getting some back teeth filed a little.
Not that I can recall no, strange that. FlyingMeeces said:
You are now 132 lb, about 9 and a half stone, yes?
And you want to lose another 40 more, putting you at 6ft and 6 and a half stone?
Either you've got your maths or typing wrong, or you've got a much bigger problem than a persistent headache. Professional cyclists, who are the leanest bunch of fit and well people you'll ever encounter, range at 6ft between around 85 kg (Marcel Kittel, world class sprinter, muscles are heavy) down to about 65 kg (Chris Froome and his ilk).
92 lbs would be 40 kg, and a BMI that would get you immediately admitted to hospital. It'd be courting heart failure.
I really hope I've just spectacularly misunderstood somewhere along the line.

Typo?
100 is too light, you don't have a starting point of no muscle at all unless you totally run your body into the ground- that's not weight control, it's starvation. The weight you're at now is a very decent starting point - on the significantly low side of the spectrum - for getting stronger and fitter. What sort of muscle do you want to end up with - endurance athlete, sprinter, rock climbing??
Nothing like that, just stronger tbh. I'm not 100% sure I want just yet. 100 is too light, you don't have a starting point of no muscle at all unless you totally run your body into the ground- that's not weight control, it's starvation. Dont worry all, he put a typo at the start. Unless he has lost 10 stone in 3 months
He is now 232lbs, and wants to get to 200lbs and then put on muscle.
270's to 230's is 3.5stone lost.
40 more lbs would be a pretty good goal.
Ah sh*t. I didn't realise I put 179! FfsHe is now 232lbs, and wants to get to 200lbs and then put on muscle.

thank fk for that, you were really worrying me!
Yeah okay nice one and crack on, but maybe if you can, slow down the weight loss or even go for maintenance while you sort the headaches? No technical thinking behind it, just wondering if reducing the variables might help!
That's the thing, the headaches have stopped whilst I'm on a break from the diet, so it's confusing!Yeah okay nice one and crack on, but maybe if you can, slow down the weight loss or even go for maintenance while you sort the headaches?
