I've been reading up on heathy eating and apparently walnuts, brazil nuts and especially almonds are good for your long-term health and wellbeing. Up until recently I've been buying these from Holland and Barrett till I realised that they are rather expensive, and have now discovered a small market stall located on the upper level of the Victoria Centre market in Nottingham selling them loose at a far cheaper price.

So does anyone have a better recommendation for buying these nuts in bulk, preferably 1kg upwards?

Cheers for the info guys, never thought about Lidl which might be worth checking out, in the meantime have ordered 1kg of almonds and brazil nuts from Amazon on Prime next day delivery which has saved me a drive into Nottingham. Prices look good at approx £12 per kg.

The nearest Lidl isn't too far away so I might have a drive out in the next few days to see if the sell these loose. Will wash them thoroughly before consuming!

Will also check out the local asian or polish store because they tend to have well priced goods that tend not to be stocked by the larger supermarkets.

Reason for my interest in the almonds is the high protein content and low calories so is useful to nibble on these throughout the day when I'm working out.
