I've been aware of this for a while, not really bad but noticeable maybe some slight hearing loss too. Most of the time i dont notice it. 65 year old male with a 45 Yr diabetes history.

I know not much can be done so is it worth
A) Going to GP?
B) Hearing clinic at specsavers?
C) Grinning and baring it?

Thanks all.

I've booked a telephone GP appointment for a week's time, I can probably get in quicker at specsavers but at least it gets the ball rolling.

Out of interest, is yours a high pitched whistle, a low pitched rumble (like a diesel lorry parked with its engine running in the distance) or both?
I'd describe it as buzzing, like an extractor fan or refrigerator. A bit like the sort of thing when you go through a pressure change.

I've been to the doctors, they say a little wax build up but it's not the cause. Getting worse and pretty much all rhe time now. I think (hope?) It is wax.

Doc has reffered me to................specsavers.

Back from specsavers.

Hearing checked, all within tolerance, one ear vacuumed a chunk of wax came out.

No difference in tinnitus or hearing. No charge.
