Been experimenting with the IPS paddles to identify "shortcuts" in getting bits of functionality out of the gear box.

Identified two so far...

  • Holding both paddles active for a few seconds switches you to neutral. Not sure of the point of that one...
  • Holding the up paddle for a few seconds will switch you back to D mode to short cut the usual delay after using the paddle shift to go up or down gears. That one is useful.
Any others people know of? I haven't been able to get any others through paddle shift combinations so far.

TBH - not seen a good use for this yet. And doing it at speed would not be a good idea... (assuming it allows you to...)

Really? I remember reading in the manual that it promised much pain and suffering to the gear box if you selected N while the car was moving.

Might be wrong, but...

For normal (in mine), it takes about 15s and about 1-2s if you apply the "shortcut"
