Firstly hi to everyone hopefully Ill be joining the Lotus forum more often.

I've recently sold my 997.2 Carrera S which I loved but after the warranty being up and the service being due I didn't think is was worthwhile keeping it and the plan was to sell it and buy another one.
However since I bought my 911 every man and their dog has gone and bought one upon seeing me using mine daily with 2 young children so its lost its exclusivity now.

After looking at the Evora its no doubt a better looking car. The only thing I am worried about is will it be quick enough. I'm hopefully going to drive one Saturday in Silverstone. There's no doubt it will on be the S model Ill look at but its still 40BHP down from a 991 which I would look at however its £30k cheaper and I don't think I've ever seen one on the road which is a massive plus.

I would probably consider tuning which I would hope a remap would take the Evora to the same performance as a new 911 although I cant find to many options at the moment.

I'm also slightly worried about servicing\repairs at the moment. I'm based in Swansea and the nearest Lotus dealership is either Southampton or Silverstone which is some way away. Has anyone else got the same issues and how do you find this?

Thanks in advance

If its for the road its more than fast enough to loose your license, if it is for its for the track its fast enough...... I also think(opinion here) most drivers are not skilled enough to get maximum performance out of a standard car let alone one with 'more power'

(should liven this forum up)
Have to agree on this last year I drove 911 GT2 and GT2 RS in Porsche's Silverstone centre I was like a tit to be honest. Both cars had far to much power for my driving skills. The Instructor then took me for a few laps with him driving just so I got experience the car.

I've got a test drive booked for Saturday in Silverstone.

I want the car to sound really good where is the best place to get the cold air induction kit and decat pipe?

thanks
