Anyone heard more about the new Geneva Evora / 400hp model? Heard they'll be making it the "fastest car in it's class" on a track. New interior, updated exterior etc... anyone heard anything on prices, info etc?

So does everyone recon we'll keep the same engine as now but with some extra mods? Or will we have something more significant? Tbh in 4 months I've driven 700 miles in my Exige V6 as I can't put my son in there so hard to fit into my lifestyle. The new Evora... if it's actually competitive with the Exige V6 (big ask), would appeal to me. I could use it more often and put a baby seat in the back.

Why can't you put your son in the Exige? No way to turn off the passenger airbag?
Nope. Can you put a child seat in a Cup? Or are they 4 point harnesses only?

Well that's bloody stupid. I thought you had to be able to disable the passenger airbag for EU type approval?
No key to do it and Oakmere says no. I knew about it before buying the car but now I've got it, I'm finding little chance to get out in it.

I love the car, it's fantastic. I'd also just like to be able to take him out in it too as I think he'd like it, and I'd end up being able to drive it more often.

Some more details here. It'll out perform the new hyped cayman gt4. I'm fairly confident of that.

less torque even though it's SC and the GT4 is NA, more weight, less downforce and smaller brakes, so I doubt it.

Evora power to weight 282 that's if it has 400bhp ! don't know a Lotus yet which has made it's advertised BHp.
GT4 power to weight 287 and we all know it has more than 385BHp Porsche always make more, the guy who designed it says it has more.

then out the bends the GT4 has more torque and down force and is 75kg lighter and a est ring time of 7.40, even the Exige S is 7.53 !

How confident are you again ?

Nice car though if still a little to expensive imo, only posting a few stats ;-)

Porsche design their cars for the ring. Give any 2 experienced drivers an Exige V6 and a Cayman GT4 on a typical track (not Lotus's home track OR Porsche's home track where both cars will have been developed), and an Exige V6 would walk a Cayman. This is said having driven & owned many Porsches (and liking them!) and tbh all sorts of cars over the last few years and presently owning a V6. The V6 is fast on country roads even compared to a 458 from experience.

The new Evora looks nice. I recon it'll sell well, like the V6 is doing.

Anyone know the V6 time (cup and standard) vs new Evora 400?
