Tyre wear problem

Hi Guys,

I noticed yesterday that my 2 back tyres have extremely bad wear on the inside of the tyre approx. 1nch from inside. 1 tyre is through the rubber now.

The car has done 5000miles from new and the rest of the tyre has plenty of tread left. What do you think is causing this wear and should I ask Lotus to replace the tyres. At a guess I would say there is 4mm on the rest of the tyre apart from the inside.

There's defiantly a problem with the setup. Do you think I can get it done on warranty

Lotus declined the warranty claim stating that the wear is normal and due to the setup of the car.

Anyone recommend best place to get tyres?

I've managed to get a set of part worn with 5.5mm on the exact same tyres for £150 for the pair.

I really do think it mad that Lotus are halving the life of an expensive tyre for the handling for road use. If it was an Exige then I could see the point but the Evora is suppose to be more of a GT car which in turn means you cover distance.

A trip around Europe would mean you need a tyre change during the trip!
