Afternoon Gents;

I've moved to Spain to work in Gib a few months ago, and for all intents and purposes it seems that I'm going to hang around for the time being. Which means shipping at least one fun car over.

I've given hillclimbing, spirits and the occasional time attack a go back home, and am wondering what the scene is like here? I've signed up to 105 Octanos & TimeAttack.es, but as my Spanish is near non existent I'm not too sure how I'd get along at one of their events vis scrutineering, class rules, briefings etc...

Does anyone have any idea of how im/possible the above would be?

Failing that, is there anyone in the area that tears up the road to Ronda every now and again?

Always up for a blast to Rhonda when I'm down, unfortunately can't help you with the rest at the moment, but probably know a man who can.

Hi, I know 2 TVRs on Gib ... also search for a track at Guadix which is a few hours drive but fantastic. Owned by a Brit called Clive.
Yes, came across it online and will be looking out for their 2015 calendar. I'm aiming to do at least 1 event per month, hopefully a championship.

A bit late to the party but..

Used to run a trackday company here for a while (back when people had money!). Guadix do their own events but better to just tag along to the 103 Octanos events as they are cheaper. I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of Spanish at their events, if you've done a trackday before you'll be fine, they tend to be quite relaxed on everything so you need to keep your wits about you and don't be surprised to find a Seat Leon diving up your inside under braking! There are a few regular expats that attend the Octanos events that stick together too (Caterham, Westfields, BMW, etc) plus there are quite a few people from Gibraltar (mainly Honda types).

Ronda road is OK but one slow lorry can spoil things, plus Trafico are often on there scraping bikers off the tarmac
Thanks for the tips! Definitely plan on doing a track day at Ascari.
