Well we've been silent for a few months and it's about time we started celebrating the new-look financially-viable table-topping Palace.

Yet another great win today, with more great team displays from KG, Bolasie and Zaha et al. Also our fans are beginning to be recognised as being very good, accepting that we're not in the Premiership (yet). 3,500 Palace fans out of around 9,000 attendance today. Well done everybody beerbiggrin

(Cue moaning weed, promising to beat us on 1st....) sleepblahshoot

I'm looking forward to the piece in tomorrow's matchday programme by Kevin Day re the return of Dougie Freedman, as I had a conversation with him about it earlier this week when he said he wasnt sure which way to angle it. I hope he takes the moral high ground and wishes Dougie all the best.

In my mind Dougie is a hero for Palace, a legend. I'll never forget that goal at Stockport. There are clearly issues around his departure that he's not commented on, and yes he should have said good bye properly, but we're all grown ups and he got more money elsewhere after having a presumably less-than-committed meeting with the current owners.

CPFC2010 have also done an excellent job since taking over, so there are no villains as far as I'm concerned. I just hope Dougie gets respect when he walks out on the pitch, but I somehow doubt it because the boo boys are always loudest. rolleyes

Looking for a victory, more to the point biggrin

It's been a while.

Today is 23 years to the day that Palace beat Liverpool 4-3 in a magnificent FA Cup semi final at Villa Park, having been beaten 9-0 at Anfield earlier in the same season. The best day in the history of the club and I was privileged to be there.

Happy days and hopefully a bit of that resolve will be found to see us promoted in May. beerbounceclapbiggrin

Just about got my head back since Monday.

Wow, just wow. What a great day.

We may get tonked every week next year. We may not, some weeks. We'll still be £120m better off, even if we are back in the championship this time next year. You might as well put a bet on us being relegated, everybody should share in our new-found wealth! We might just pull off a couple of surprises, you never know. It's all just a part of being on the CPFC rollercoaster. Enjoy.

Sorry, I was being flippant and very happy with the 'underdog' tag.

Like you I'm quite happy to wait and see, but I'm just happy to be playing all the big guys next season instead of the weed, the neanderthals and the clowns...

A season of much hilarity for Watford, Millwall, Charlton and of course Bright*n fans starts here as Palace undoubtedly get regularly stuffed.

The only thing is that (for the time being anyway) Palace are in the premier league and the others are not, and even if we get relegated next May we'll still be millions better off.

I sincerely hope not too. I was being sarcastic, hopefully, I'm just getting a bit bored with jealous ex-rivals sniping. You should see some of the crap being peddled on North Stand Cr4p lately rolleyeslaugh

... I think your going to be the worst side in Premier League history to be honest...
We may be, but then again we might not. What's likely is that there will be some surprises on the way and Palace fans will have a ball. We'll see... We're just happy to be there. We might make a bit of noise at the new library too. biggrin

It must be tough on you gooners looking down on the rest of us from your lofty position of assumed success year after year, just a bit frustrating not to actually win anything... laugh

EFA: Arsenal ladies won something a couple of seasons ago. Nearly forgot.

It's all relative. When we won at Wembley it was a great day for us because our expectations are low. Enjoy next season, just don't get a nosebleed up there! wink

Here we go on the roller coaster of our return to the Premier league.

The incredible highs of last season are now behind us and according to most experts Palace are certs for the bottom three, so let's see how it goes...

Day 1, Spuds. I can't wait! beerbounceclap

Jose Campana - Spanish u-21 captain in midfield
Jerome Thomas from West Bromwich on the wing
Steven Dobbie, Dwight Gayle, Elliott Grandin and Marouane Chamakh, all forwards, from Bright*n, Peterborough, Blackpool and Arsenal respectively.

+More to come (hopefully a defender or two!)...

An encouraging (although ultimately pointless) performance yesterday against one of the top six clubs gives us some basis for optimism. Palace were certainly not humiliated and largely defended quite well.

Far too little creativity or chances up front though.

Jedi's performance was a highlight and the fans were magnificent.

Great performance but again another dreadful refereeing error. Ashley Young was 'fouled' outside of the box (and in fact was a dive) and did his 3rd dive of the game after already having a yellow card for the same, earlier in the game. Palace did brilliantly with only 10 men in the 2nd half to only concede one goal from Rooney's free kick. So, 2 goals conceded, one from a penalty which clearly should never have been given and the other from a set piece and away at last years champions.

Great performence but appalling refereeing and Ashley Young Cole cheating yet again. When will he be banned and stopped from playing as this has now occurred several times before? Even his manager is fed up with it.
Totally agree with all that.

Why doesn't Moyes actually fine Young rather than just huffing and puffing?
Unless he's done it quietly (good job if he has) then he's just a hypocrite, which he can now have written on his hat alongside the honorary "w 4 n k e r" which he's now entitled to as ManUre.

Roll on Swansea... Let's have no more contentious decisions please.

Dobbie has come back to Blackpool for his third spell with the club. On loan till the end of December.

Last two times has seen us get to the Play-Off final at Wembley (1 win, 1 lose).
Not a bad player, creative and willing to shoot. He's been unlucky to not make the 25 at Palace, so best of luck to him.
