I know you lot aren't watching the Wigan v Newecastle game but the young lad Callum McManaman has produced an awful tackle on Massimo Haidara. Straight red card all day long but not even given as a foul by ref Mark Halsey.
The standard of officiating is getting worse, I swear.
One of the worst tackles I've ever seen...and not even a free kick. The standard of officiating is getting worse, I swear.
Sky have just said they can't even assess his injury as he can't straighten his leg properly. Can't see him getting back any time soon from that injury.

Unfortunately, over the years, the gloss has been taken off both playing for England and International football in general. I believe the main culprit to be the ECL - Qualifying for it and then playing in it have become all-fking-consuming.
Look at us Spuds...all praying Bale doesn't get injured tonight just so we'll have more chance of finishing 4th ffs. Unfortunately with up to 8 teams still theoretically in the race for 4th EVERYONE is now petrified and looking for ways of reducing their own clubs players involvement in the national team.
England friendlies must be a logistical nightmare for the manager nowadays. You can almost hear Rodgers asking Hodgson to "play gerrard for the first 15 minutes in the 2nd half only please" whilst Fergie asks/stipulates that Rooney only play for 25 minutes and not at the start of either half and AvB asks that Parker be restricted to....
How the fk you deal with all of this whilst trying to forge a "team" for an upcomming championship is a herculean task - and far beyond what most managers would be capable of.
And all that chopping and changing is to play for a manager universally liked and supported by supporters of all the teams he has managed....Look at us Spuds...all praying Bale doesn't get injured tonight just so we'll have more chance of finishing 4th ffs. To think, people say you're nothing without Bale. Wheels falling off as usual, you'll win nothing.

The good news is that us Spuds now have a free pass to continue posting on all the other threads for the next 12 months...
Always welcome on our thread when your posts are relevant to Manchester United. dmulally said:
This year was a building season anyway. AVBush tried a few things that worked and some that didn't work. It just so happened that Bale got Spurs a litter further than they had a right to be. Next year with a different striker and Andy Carroll in the first team should be a good show.
