What a poor transfer window so far

Others will have their views but for me it's been poor. No massive additions to the Prem teams, i'm talking absolute top drawer players, they all seem to stay in Spain, go to Germany and even Italy fighting back now.

The money is certainly there but the top players aren't going for our top teams.

Talk of Ronaldo, Bale, Pogba, Vidal etc is pie in the sky, we just seem to get moderate players at a massive fee or others who are a bit past their prime.

For me the best signing so far is Benteke, can't understand why United didn't get him, He would be sensational in my opinion.

I think Benteke at United would be fantastic. At Liverpool i'd back him to be the leagues top scorer this season.

Schweinsteiger will be a decent addition but past his best.

The point I was making with Schweinsteiger is.....

I accept he is a very good player, a World cup winner and more but that was in the past. At 30 a player can (I'm not saying is) can be well past his prime. It's very rare for a player of that age to change clubs and really shine for a decent amount of games a season. Likewise Ibrahimovich and Ramos, both for me would be prolonging their pay day rather than really giving their best years.

I think we will soon see players in their prime going to the MLS as well and that will create more options for the top guys.

Ewell, that's it. What do people think? For me it's gone on far too long, the players that have come to the prem aren't the absolute top men and the prices paid for moderate players are ridiculous. That's my take on it and I think the format needs looking at.
