Fantastic resultbounce After the first half v. Fulham on NYEE I was a bit eekeek as to whether we are really good enough. But we dug in over the second half and ground out a result. A few changes today and the team spirit won it again. Of course there's still a lot of hard graft for us to get to the magic 40 points, but to lighten the mood, a reminder of some of the 'comedy gold' from earlier in the season.......

You can insult Warnock all you like but you clowns spend over 5 million on Vaughan and Morrison (never premiership quality) where we have spent 1.25 million on DJ Campbell (13 premiership goals last year, 10 more than Holt will get this year) and Bothroyd (decent target man). I would have Warnock over Lambert anyday.
laughlaughlaughlaugh

God knows why i'm in this thread (lack of activity on my own sadly) but MPowerMark clearly doesn't have a clue.

Lambert has a very bright future ahead of him.

Actually feel a bit sorry for Norwich, but they should be grateful for what he's done, dragged you out of the third tier, and got you into the Prem allowing debts to be eradicated in the process.

We all know that money does buy success at this level, and Lambert will not be backed by the board to the tune of the millions it would require to take them to the very top. Lambert is a born and bred winner, he'll want to do the best he can, and Villa are another stepping stone, they will clearly give him some funds, and I think he'll push on with them.

Norwich will have to do their homework on the next appointment, Southampton, Reading and West Ham are far stronger than the Bolton, Blackburn and Wolves who have gone down.

Doesn't help the new manager in who he's left to face in his final games.

Odd decision IMO, having gone this far, i'd have been inclined to leave it until the end of the season, but who knows what will happen now.

More 'ecstatic' than pleased.
your gun dealer / ticket tout* (*delete as applicable) owner buying the club leaving you completely debt free and investing multi-millions in the playing squad (.... yeah that's not gone well, has it? laugh ).
No, hasn't gone well at all. Hasn't invested millions either rolleyes

What can't be denied is the lack of success his money has bought.

Anyway, look forward to the derby match regardless.

We deserve to go down this season, left it too late to get rid of Hughton and that erosion of a good squad that played good football had gone too far be reversed. Hopefully we make the right appointment because we have the basis of a very good team in the Championship and some talented youngsters.
The next appointment is critical, still, I believe NFC are well managed financially, so you'll have time to get it right in any case. No chance you'll be relegated again.

What a surprise, gone for the cheap option with Adams,, why delay the announcement if it's been him all along, surely he wasn't the stand out candidate. Another Bryan Gunn situation I reckon, McNally needs to resign he's just taking the piss
On the ITFC forums a lot of Town fans are celebrating this, i'm of the opinion wait and see.

Adams could be the best manager Norwich have ever had for all you know, win the league and get you into Europe the next.

Far far too early to dismiss him.

I actually think Warnock would be a good choice for Norwich and i'm not saying that in jest.

Who knows who can be tapped up, but i'd suggest Howe and McCarthy are way off being poached.

Especially after January when the lower teams have made changes in management and personnel, they're invariably not the same teams that you expect.

See Ipswich when MM took over.

Exception = Blackpool.

Norwich were the better team, just had a bit of quality, but I'd say both goals had an element of luck, the first hit Berra's heel and fell perfectly, otherwise it'd have gone straight to Chambers, but that's how it is.

No arguments, I thought we'd lose 3-0 and it wasn't far off.

Sears was very good and Ruddy made an incredible save from him (quick thinking) and goals change games.

I'm no rose tinted glasses wearing blue, it was a close game, but the quality Norwich have just shone through, and with the players you have, you'd expect that.

12 games to go.

Things must be bad, we're 3 points behind you with a better goal difference!

And believe me, we're the worst we've been for a long time (although the players are better...just not playing well at all)

You lot will be fine, patience.

At this sad time, with the death of the Queen, a time to reflect on the Norwich City successes during her reign.

Full list below.

.
On a similar theme, the Queen celebrated 3 Jubilees in the time Ipswich Town have been out of the Premier League.… wink
During the Queen's reign, Ipswich won the First division, FA Cup and UEFA cup.

And if taking a leaf out of the Norwich playbook of success, finished 5th in the premier league and are undefeated at home in European competiions against the likes of AC Milan, Real Madrid, Lazio, FC Twente, Feyenoor, Barcelona, Roma, Inter Milan etc.

And of course Ipswich celebrated a cup win against Norwich in the Texaco Cup, surprised they don't mention they were runners up in that.

COYB!

;-)

Jokes

I know you lot are light years ahead of us at the moment!

It's not looking good just now. Wagner doesn't seem to be able to motivate the team and his team selection is dire. We seem to have no plan B and his use of substitutes is poor. I feel it's time to bite the bullet and get rid of him. The team is sliding down the league at an alarming rate and what most thought might be a season pushing for promotion is now looking like one avoiding relegation. He wasn't my choice as coach but I was prepared to get behind him but now that has gone. We have a new Sporting Director coming in and maybe he will make the decision to relieve him of his job. I don't know who to get in. Mark Robins was my choice when Dean Smith got sacked but also Paul Warne, the Derby manager is a lifelong Canary supporter and he would be another possible candidate.
How long is Wagner's contract? Can you afford to get rid of him?

Can Norwich afford not too is more relevant I would say.
Not sure what I think to be honest, not helpful when the crowd aren't backing the players though, that's for sure.

Confidence is shot....on paper, your team is still decent.
