Read all the reviews, watched the videos but very keen to hear from owners.

Anyone?

Fancy it as a commuter instead of the P1 then?
Instead of the Outback, maybe! wink

Initially I was really keen but my old mantra of never buying new cars has made me back down.

I am, however, contemplating a 2008 700bhp RS6 to replace my diesel Outback... wink

SBQuattro this isn't deliberately aimed at you (and I'm not trolling) but you just mentioned something that I've thought of before...

Compared to depreciation and fuel consumption (and, in some cases, routine maintenance), VED is a fairly minor cost and is, at least, a known constant. Seems an odd thing to use as a criteria for buying a £30k car!

Don't contemplate, get it bought! laugh
Done!

I did test drive a new Sti and it was lovely, really nice steering. Really need an estate for the family car though. Hence the nice sensible 4wd auto Audi estate...

As soon as they are "used" they lose the vat, 20% gone in a signature!

Anyone know if you can fit a tow bar to these?

I'm not sure that you understand how tax works... hehe

Residuals will likely be very high though, the prices of newage WRX's and sti's seems to be going up at the moment.
You think an 8-month old car selling for £25k when it was £32k new is good residual value?

Fair enough!

The reason I asked about the towbar was that my rs6 can't be fitted with one and its a PITA using roofbar bike carriers. Shame the STi can't have one fitted either.
