Legacy Outback 3.0r
Discussion
Hi
I'm going to look at an Outback 3.0r with an LPG conversion this week that is on eBay and having spoken to the owner have a couple of concerns.
Firstly Ihe says the LPG system has a problem where over 3000 revs it runs rough and can cut out. Is this a reasonably inexpensive problem to sort out normally? It's an OMVL dream xxi system. It runs well on petrol though.
It also has a slight leak in the exhaust , a dent in the rear wing , a scrape on the bumper, a crack in rear windscreen and a cracked mirror lens all of which I don't think bother me too much. The owner has been honest in pointing these things out to me on the phone which is good. Should I have concerns about these problems?
It is the LPG system which I'm mostly concerned about.
Any help much appreciated - I dont have any experience of these cars - I'm coming from merc estates - the outbacks seem to me to be like a modern w124 estate in many ways.
