Weird and wonderful Subaru stories?

Hi folks,
I'm working on a new project about Subaru and I'm looking for any weird and wonderful stories that are out there about their cars.
I came across one in particular about a driver in Eastern Europe who crashed into a lake, and when the car was recovered days later it still somehow started first time. It got me thinking!
It could be something like a car with very high mileage, or someone walking away from a big crash unscathed.
Curious to see what's out there, especially with their reliability.
