Locking wheel nuts

Anyone out there have any idea how to get a locking wheel nut off. Its one of those with a wiggly racing circuit style groove in the wheel bolt with a matching, mating raised track on the key. I've had it to my local "specialist" wheel nut remover, who has given up! As a last ditch cutting the wheels off would seem to be the only answer....
