Currently ripping out the floor to put in a floor suitable for both single and 2 post lift, however I'm unsure what to go for. So looking for opinions on what is best.

I'm looking at using it to remove and fix the gearbox on my RS6 and after that increase parking capacity. As you can see from the picture I have a small single door but the building opens out inside if I had a single post I could put it on the left hand side and I would be able to drive small cars in and turn them right to go in the far left corner. In practice I'd be able to get 3 cars parked inside which would be very nice indeed.

However a 2 post looks like it would allow more access under the car and would possible make dropping engines/gearboxes much easier? However with a post on the right I would be unable to get a car in on the right, limiting me to storing 2 cars in there.

Not sure which would be best.

Opinions most welcome!

Yes I see what you mean, unfortunately the area to the right beyond the door is not huge so I imagine the left hand post of the 2 poster would mean I wouldn't get a car in straight after the other 2 are in.

I think I might have to just accept been able to get only 2 cars in. Not exactly the end of the world! The single post looks good but the fixed arms that go under the car would be really limiting.

It was a thought however I like the look of the building plus planning/ costs become a bit of a nightmare. I'm trying to keep costs as low as I can ideally.

2 cars it is. smile
