I'm finally getting round to thinking seriously about getting a lift. There comes a time when crawling under a car loses its appeal. However, one of the things I would want to use it for is pressure-washing the underside of the car after a rally. I'm favouring either a single post or scissor lift (mainly 'cos I don't want to wash the car off in the garage, so need to be able to move the lift outside). But I'm told that modern lifts have too many electrical components and should not be allowed to get wet.

Any thoughts or recommendations as to how to solve this issue ?

Not worried about the weight of it - the loader on my tractor will make easy work of it ! I think I'm probably heading towards a scissor lift.
