Can anybody recommend a particular Pela type pump?
Saw this at half the price of the Pela one. Any good?

Thanks

Those Pella pumps have gone up in price a lot! I bought a Pella 6000 for a few quid more than the Silverline one, though that was probably 4 or 5 years ago. Solid bit of kit, though make sure the oil is nice and hot before you try to suck it out otherwise you will be there for a long time.
Given Amazon's superlative customer service, and the fact that Silverline do make some reasonable quality products I'd probably give the Silverline a go in this case.

Eh? Is this true? Nothing on the Aldi website today.
Was in on Tue. Castol 10-40 GTX 1L at £3.99. Photo on the Aldi thread. Picked up 2 bottles but there was about 20 there. When home figured it could be cheap stock for a couple of oil changes so hopefully will get some more today.
Ordered the Pela 6000. Cheapest was on ebay and through TCB, plus purchase on the Costco cashback Amex card
Should work out about £36.

Have just text Mrs and told he to get to Aldi to buy up a load of Castrol GTX. £3.99 a litre!
That doesn't seem like a great deal for GTX to be honest, you can get 5 liters delivered for £16.50 which works out at £3.30/litre.I have a Sealey one which works incredibly well and is very well made.

As my car has 6L of oil I need a very large one....

Ive got one, useful not live changing
makes an oil change a lot more pleasant when your not removing under trays and jacking the car up.
On the saab 2.0t gets most of it out, bar about 0.5l
also used it on my fathers CLK320 when he overfilled it quite a bit.
useful especially if you have more than one car,
make sure the oil is nice and hot and make sure you have a few tissues about as well
