The very end of my ignition key has snapped off inside the ignition barrel, only about 5mm has snapped off but it is left in the ignition slot.

I can still put the remaining key fully into the ignition but it won't turn.

It's a 1974 304s if it makes any difference.

The only thing I can think of so far is to put a dab of superglue on the end of the key and hope that when i put it into the ignition it will stick to the broken part, but if it doesn't then I will have superglue left dry in the lock which isnt ideal!

Nope, I bought the cheap set of pins to remove the broken bit but I had no luck. I am not convinced the broken bit was actually in the ignition after all (it was only the end 5mm that snapped off so hard to see).

I bought a brand new ignition barrel with 2 keys in the end, it cost just under £20 so not a big deal!
