Odd problem with wipers on doblo.

Hi,

I'm trying to get the bottom of a problem with my front wipers on my Fiat Doblo.

The wipers and squirters work fine when key is turned to its first position, but as soon as i turn the ignition on I get nothing. I have found that if In give the key a carefully coreographed wiggle I can get the wipers to come on, but this is not ideal As MOT is getting close.

Any ideas of a possible fix? I'm guesing the problem lays in the ignition barrel itself.
