BMW e60 530d howl
Discussion
Trying to get to the route of a power loss issue and clearing other faults, so far
Replaced overdue dpf ( 100k on original from what I can tell from history) power returned after this.
1500km later the power loss returns with a throttle actuator fault, replaced that but loss still there, noticed while live monitoring (Carly app) that engine wasn't getting up to temp so replaced main and egr thermostats ( car is manual so no gearbox thermostat) car now gets to temp but not sure if lack of temp lead to dpf blocked again yet...
Blanked of swirl flaps and plugged vacuum
Now I have a weird howl from engine same as this and a maf code, can't contact guy in vid to ask what outcome was, any thought?

Thanks, if it were on its way out, wouldnt the power loss be consistant?
Mine's intermitant, + i have a cold start issue that feels like theres too much compression for engine to keep running, fires ok but imediatly stalls, 2nd start it tries to stall but just about keeps going and slowly smooths out into a slightly rough idle, as it gets hotter the idle becomes as i should, the ambient temperature is not that low here at the moment
Maybe they are two completely different issues though..
