Anyone on here bought a new-shape Renault Trafic yet?

I'm looking at buying a new van shortly and it'll be just myself driving it so I'm thinking of one of the new-shape Renault Trafic vans, the 140 bhp Sport one is the one I'd go for.

I've driven it and it's not earth shatteringly fast but should be ok for what I want.

I had a 174 bhp Transporter up to last year and would ideally go for another one but I'm finding it hard to justify the 25% extra for the equivalent engine size with a more basic spec or the 50% extra for the 180 bhp one so the Renault is ticking a lot of boxes for me.

I am however afraid of one thing ..... it's a Renault

What's your experiences of them so far folks?

Any problems or issues with them?

Yeah I know, that's a bit daunting alright



It'll be interesting to see what VW do when they release the T6 in June, I wonder will that be a 1.6 as well?

I've looked at them alright (they're badged as Opel over here, no idea where they're actually built) but the Renault is priced about €2k cheaper for the same spec

I've sort of made my mind up to get the old thing I've been using patched up so I can hold off for a few months and ideally buy the T6 Transporter when it comes out (being launched in June with the first units likely to be delivered in September)

I've had several of them through the years and definitely prefer the VW to the Renault / Nissan / Opel stuff plus they do decent size engines



At least I'll have the van I want rather than knowing I've compromised and bought something I wasn't 100% sure of
