Can I tow this?
Discussion
I've seen a Bailey senator twin axle that I like the look of, but it seems to be a bit on the heavy side. Would I be foolish to go for something so capacious?
Tow car is a 2.0Td estate mondeo (115hp), which tips the scales at 1555kg and has a towing capacity of 1800kg. Caravan has a miro of 1290kg and a mtplm of 1500kg ish.
With it being a twin axle, I assume the 85% guideline isn't so important but will it just be too much hassle hauling that monster around?
Thanks,

Thanks,
Gross train weight is 3750kg, so that should be ok. My question was more around how practical it would.be to tow that size of caravan, will the car struggle as soon as it gets to an incline etc, will fuel economy drop like a stone, will I go through clutches every couple of weeks?. legally, I believe I'm fine.
Edit: thanks for response rob.

I'd be interested in the details of the caravan, age cost etc as looking for a 2nd hand twin axle one! Obviously either after you have bought it or rejected it!
Not sure if I would be happy towing a big caravan with a Mondeo but I guess some of the Mondeos are quite big.

Help yourself if you want to, I'm not in any hurry.
Purposely want a large bathroom, for hosing down small children and washing mountain biking muck off children and adults. So, I'm fairly sure we've picked the right layout. Never could see the appeal of a fixed bed, seems to take up a huge amount of space without being much more luxurious than he spec in the advert,
