Towing mirror reccommentations?
Discussion
A colleague has just bought and collected a large caravan this weekend, and was showing me his pics of it. I commented on his towing mirrors - how I've never felt the need for them - and he pointed out that they were now the law. I confess this one had passed me by - I've no excuse.
So, I shall equip myself with pair for my next "tow" - can anyone recommend a good set? I'd like to retain the use of the "normal" door mirrors - I'd rather not use towing mirrors whose attachments wrap around the door mirrors obscuring my view through them.
The clip-on type all look a bit flimsy but maybe they're not.
What do you all use?

... and the rubber straps are nice and soft/flexible and haven't caused any damage to the paint on the back of the mirrors. They also leave you regular mirrors clear. The only observation I would make is that you do need a little space between the mirror and the housing on your wing mirrors for the clips to fit in place although every car will be different.
Thanks for this comment - both thoughts had crossed my mind (paint damage and enough "meat" on the mirror case to mount the towing mirrors to). I'll keep both in mind when I look at different models.littlebasher said:
I wonder what makes him think it's not the law, there's a requirement to be able to see a certain field behind the outfit
