Any Hymer owners here? Anyone got a camper in Europe?

Just thought I'd ask, thinking of getting another Hymer, had one many years ago a B544 90's vintage one. They appear to be still be saught after & I wondered if anybody still has one. Currently have a well spec'd Bongo that I'd be looking to sell.

Obviously the older (Hymers) are quite old & retro but still well regarded apparently, would consider newer alternatives, but whatever I go for it will need full winter specs & would have to sell'able in the future etc. So that rules out many of the UK built ones I think.

Am also thinking about leaving it out in Europe, fly out & go from there type thing, does anybody do such a thing? Plenty of sites offering longer term storage just wondered if it was practical.

What were you thinking of doing about MOT?

Good point, I would assume it will come back home at least a few times a year & I'd use it here anyway, idea being it'd stay in the Alps for a ski season that type of thing.

Cheers for the info, I had a B544 (I think) briefly about 10 years ago sold it rather promptly when I was offered a profit


Quite keen on having one as long term euro traveller, would only ever be two of us or maybe a few lads for Le Mans etc.


I've been looking into winter specs & it appears the old Hymers are rather good at this aspect.
