At last .... I have a motor home.

Hello chaps, we've wanted a motor home for years, but basically we don't have enough disposable income to be able to afford one.

Well, with a bit of saving I've at last got an old one, we have paid £4000.00 for this one and collect it Saturday (it needs new sills and jacking points, my weld it mate is happy to do the work).

I realise it is a poverty model, but the condition of it (apart from the rot), is a credit to its former owners.

Just thought I'd report back.

It has been a good buy, and lots of fun has been had.

I joined a thing called Britstops and have used a few of those, plus we have just returned from the Scottish Highlands, a week of wild camping for a couple of days, then using a site for the obvious facilities, then repeat.

I've even enjoyed modifying bits for our own personal tastes.

It has been surprising to me just how much fun these old buses are to drive although I do now have a more muscular left leg from the cable clutch.

Yes, the piece of wood across the very lower rear (where the lights attach the other side) is rotten on one side, (this will be a winter project to replace), otherwise it is fine.
