Hate being cocooned in those horrible mummy bags, want a rectangular shaped bag but want a lightweight one that I can still backpack with.

Have been looking at the Therm-a-Rest thermal blanket things which looked ideal until I saw the £ & read the reviews.

Appreciate there will be more to a rectangular bag so it will be bigger & heavier but there must be a compromise solution out these that doesn't cost the earth?

The 'blanket' is actually a poncho liner and is popular in certain branches of the US military, ive kinda seen that it might be a 'thing' in the future within camping circles but as an additional item to a steeping bag.

But anyway, this https://www.outdoorgear.co.uk/Vango-Revive-Single-... looks pretty good to me for what your after.
3.2Kg!!!

That looks interesting, struggling to find reviews on it though & not keen on spending £45-50 if it's not going to do what I want it to.

Yep, wants me to, not doing it unless I want to buy. Found this though: http://www.carinthia.eu/bags/en/shop/Sleeping-Bag/

Which bag did you mean Tomw2000?
