What's the crack with waving

Getting a bit confused here, as to day whilst out in the Autotrail , some motorhome drivers waved to me and then a bit later on I waved and the bloke ignored me. Do I wave at all motorhomers and hope for a cheery wave back or shall I stick with just waving to Autotrail vans that come up the other way.

Defiantly noticed caravaners don't wave to MotorHomers LOL

I am waving to every motorhome that comes into view and getting about a 75% return rate. Nowt wrong with a bit of camaraderie
