Hi all.

Just bought a kindle. Read about the lending service which sounds great, but I mostly read non-fiction and don't know many people with kindles, let alone with simillar interests.

I expected to find a big thread here with people posting books they wanted to borrow or had available to lend, but my searches have turned up nothing much to my surprise and disappointment - I imagine many here have books I'd be interested in - likewise I'll have books others would be interested in.

If a pistonheads kindle lending thread doesn't exist I'll have to try and get one going!

Posted in the lounge for max exposure to Kindle users.

Thanks.

Matt

As far as I know you can lend any book in your collection for two weeks to anyone using their email address, during which you cannot access the book yourself...

Can you borrow from Amazon with prime?! I know you can rent some textbooks. I've got a trial currently, and can't see any options for library like loans from Amazon.

Having said this, this is online - my kindle arrives tomorrow.

Cool. I've got prime so that's good, nice to know. Smaller selection than I'd hoped, and only one a month is a shame, but a nice perk. When I'm back to uni I'll be reading next to no non study related books anyway.

For now, and my holiday in September, I've found Lendle and Booklending.com, which I'll have a play with.

I'm going to try to make a thread on here where people could list the books they are willing to lend in their library - would there be much uptake?

I tend to read motorsport/engineering books, and driver/rider biographies so I'd hope in a community like this, I'd have many others would be interested to read, and others would have books I'd like to read.
