Pardon my ignorance but does anyone know why there are no rev lights working on Lewis Hamilton's steering wheel? Noticed this in earlier races too.

as its a night race i assume the brightness has been reduced, just like other twilight/night races and probably in your road car too.

i like the way the backlight on the LCD screen changes when theyve got enough revs to get the next gear. nice ambient signal for the drivers smile
Good points Andy. But I noticed that on the other cars the lights were at full brightness. I wasn't aware that there were also beeps; so Lewis obviously prefers the lights not to be full brightness.
My car doesn't automatically adjust, and though I have to make an effort to dim them if I want them less bright, they are just right most of the time. A nice touch in this and my previous car of the same make and model is the 'night' mode - touch a button on the dash and all that shows is the speedo up to 70mph. Cool....
