Ridiculous prices! Bidding way over cost of items new! Something fishy/bent going on here!?
Sounds like a few people decided to ruin their auction it could be a variety of people eg pissed of ex staff or ex suppliers owed a lot of money (and getting nothing back regardless of this sale).

You can see why the Chilton's wanted to keep it going / find a new owner - they are owed rather a lot of money $4.75m

Great news if they are able to run a team this year under Manor.

Taken from the BBC site here's something that made me laugh, and more proof that the FIA Blazers are living in the dark ages they have to use a FAX VOTE to make a decision!

Anyone relying on a fax vote in 2015 is living in the dark ages.

A meeting of the rule-making strategy group agreed last November to allow both Marussia and their back-of-the-grid rivals Caterham to use their 2014 cars in 2015 if it would help them race.

But the issue would still require a fax vote of the FIA World Council, the sport's legislative body. This would be considered a formality should Marussia be able to put a deal together.

Rumours circulating on Twitter that Gene Hass has hired the staff and will run the 14 cars in 15 before a full entry in 16.

That makes some sense, and about the only way I can see them making a 'comeback'.
It makes sense run the team under Manor racing for a year take as much learning as they can for a HAAS branded team in 2016.

He already has a contract with Ferrari for engines for next year so wont be too difficult to get a years supply for this transition year.
If Max Chilton's cheque book is still fully functioning we might have an extra Brit on the grid this year.
