I presumed there'd be quite a few F1 employed PHers

I actually earn the same now as my previous job out of F1 but I now travel 100 miles a day commute at my own cost which I didn't have in my previous job... But it took me 9 years of applications to get into F1 so it was a cost I had to take (around £2500 a year for fuel, insurance, tax, servicing etc on a 1.5 DCi Clio that returns on average 72mpg).

What is it you do?
Work in the parts dept, I was previously a partsman for a car parts factor. However I am a qualified toolmaker by profession ultimately but it was getting "through the door" of a F1 team that was my hardest hurdle.

From what I can tell from "long termers" the answers "don't" lol

From my perspective after 9 years of applications and interviews "don't give up"

On a separate note, "can you get free tickets" is the first thing people normally ask when they find out you work for an F1 team
My answer is always.... "yeah got a drawer full, how many you need??"
