This is what the little chat between Bernie and Nico was on Sunday - when Bernie wanted the cameras away?
Of course it wasn't, Bernie probably just telling him not to worry that Hamilton was giving him the cold shoulder. Or perhaps offering him a good deal on a new car?
Bernie was probably asking for his cut after fixing it for Nico to win. On top of the side bet he probably had....

Not serious obviously...

I quit Ginetta racing yesterday to go endurance racing in 2017.

Didn't make any headlines and after 7 hours of solid Googling today, I can't find a bunch of grown men arguing about it online like a load of fairies either.
I was tempted by the Ginetta 'buy a car and race for a year package' , how did it go? Pm me rather than a thread hijack if you like.
Nice garage by the way and tempted by a Euro hoon like the one you mentioned in the Porsche forum as my GT4 needs it's legs stretching next year.

I think Lewis has more of a fighter's underdog mentality which has driven him on. Nico was more of the son trying to match the achievements of his father so as not to look a failure. Once he had achieved that he has nothing more to prove to himself, no need to ever try and please anyone but himself so can walk away satisfied as he now won't be judged as a failure.

It's a shame as 2017 could have been interesting but it appears Nico had nothing more to give and had he not won this year he may have been a broken man in 2017 anyway.

Personally I would like to see Verstappen as Hamilton's team mate next year, it could make Senna vs Prost look like a love in by comparison.

It's called being more than a one-trick pony. Hamilton has displayed very publicly over the last five days that he's not a deep thinker or particulalry skilled with language. With a few choice phrases he has at best demonstrated poor judgement and a lack of self awareness, and at worst a narcissistic streak that goes beyond the typical F1 'will to win'.
As an F1 driver he needs to be quick and win races. He's not a diplomat, politician or religious leader. Let him race and be done with it.

Let Nico go if he wishes but at the end of the day he's won one championship which puts him on a par with many others but Lewis and others will always be at another level if you look at the record books. F1 is like cricket or golf, there are numbers but no pictures in the record books,
