Interesting prediction.

May I suggest a sweepstake for the number of laps the new McLaren will complete? No Prize.

Given their current best is 11 in one go.

Prompted by this challenge from TheInternet, just how many race laps do we think McLaren will achieve?

Genuine question - is Button attending each race? I know he was positioned as a reserve/dev driver but he hasn't driven the car yet, right?
Reading between the lines, there seems to have been a change since JB was announced as a £12 million ambassador.

There was a lot of talk about him being reserve driver and a possible drive in 2018. But at the last race, it seemed like he was not expecting to ever drive again.

Mika has just been signed as an ambassador.

I suspect, something changed when Ron was pushed out.

This is what the McLaren website says

Reserve, Test & Development Drivers

The current McLaren-Honda reserve, test & development drivers are Oliver Turvey and Nobuharu Matsusta.

Whether in the simulator or out on track, Oliver and Nobuharu perform a vital role throughout a Formula 1 grand prix season.

I do however think that if FA walked, they might revert to Plan A
