Two-Nosed Landie: Perfect For Back-Seat Drivers

Depending on the ability of you and three other friends or colleagues to work as a team, this could either be the ultimate go-anywhere vehicle, or the ultimate go-nowhere one.

It is called the Cracker Car (no, we're not sure why either), it's up for sale on a certain well-known auction site and it's essentially two front ends of Land Rovers cobbled together to form one, undoubtedly very odd, car.

But there's more confusion here: the controls are spread between each side, so you need four people to control it. There are two steering wheels (one for the front, and another for the, er, other front), while one 'passenger' has to deal with the brake and clutch, and the other the gearshift and accelerator. Simple...

Now, this is a far from unique vehicle (there are plenty of other similar jobs out there), but If you want your office team to work with the same well-oiled efficiency as we do here at PHHQ (do you work in the same office as the rest of us, Riggers? - Ed.), then there's only one thing to do - put in a bid.

Then find a suitable field and three willing volunteers/victims. If you end up buying it, we'd love to know how you get on...

Different drivers control the clutch and gearlever?

I forsee a heck of a lot of gear grinding and mangled gearbox cogs in this cars future!

Not to mention burning brake pads and 0.1mpg due to the throttle / brake being controlled by different drivers "Faster!", "No, slower!", "Err, Tarquin, why are there flames coming from the brakes?"
