(That's owners of unusual hot hatches - not the other way around)

Do you have a hot hatch that's just that little bit different? Does your hatch-backed pride and joy enjoy a certain amount of 'underdog' kudos?

If so, we need you!

Our own PH Fleet Seat Leon Cupra R is a bit of a 'forgotten' hatch with other hot hatches stealign most of hte lime light, but its immense power makes it rather a hoot, so we want it to meet up with other hatches that are often overlooked.

So if you've got something like a Skoda Octavia vRS, an Alfa 147 GTA, an MG ZS, Rover 200 BRM or maybe even a Proton Satria GTi, and you want its praises sung, let us know!

E-mail me on riggers@pistonheads.com if you've got a forgotten hot hatch gem you think we should feature.

Why? Because 205 GTis, Golfs, Clios and Focus RSs get all the accolades - and it just isn't fair!

Oh, and your fast hatch doesn't have to be modern - as the commercial radio stations might say, we're looking for the best mix of 80s, 90s and now...

Please find someone with a Citroen BX 16v.....
Great, great call. Actually, if people just want to throw in suggestions, too, that'd be grand (not as good as actual cars, mind, but good all the same smile

Wait, the Octavia and ZS are hatches? Have I completely misunderstood that term?
I meant the five-door ZS, but IIRC the Octavia is a hatch?

Peugeot 309 GTI should be on the list, as well as the Honda Civic VTI of the early 90s onwards.
And duly noted smile

Mazda 3 mps?
This, no one seems to know what they are even petrol heads. Its taken 3 pages on this topic for it to get mentioned.
Having said that that’s one of the main reason I have one myself, I like that fact people don’t know what it is.
First gen or second gen?

I have never driven a car that is more effective at overtaking on the A32 through the Meon Valley...

I'll probably get flamed for suggesting this (rather mainstream) suggestion, but I always reckoned the bubble-shaped (mk4??) Fiesta Zetec-S was a rather undervalued warm-hatch. A mate used to have one and it was a great little thing. For that matter, the previous generation one was a lot closer in character to its bigger brother the ST than most people would expect.
Think you're thinking of Mk5:

I certainly won't be doing any flaming. I had one for a couple of years - Y227 PBF where are you now??

Genuinely loved it. The 1.6 engine was revvy and smooth (and just about powerful enough). It's the only car I've owned that I regret selling. I'd love to still have it now...
