An advert for TDI-Tuning diesel boxes caught my eye earlier and I had a shufty round the site. Look easy to install and benefits seem OK.

Anyone have one installed (not necessarily from these guys)?

Are they any good? Do they do any long/short term damage? Anything to consider - driving style, type, distance etc.

Thanks,
Scott

Can you elaborate, please?

I know nothing about this.

What's the difference between the two (apart from the addition of the box)?

Thanks,
Scott

Cool,

Thanks guys.

Are re-maps expensive? i have a 1.5 dci Scenic (53 plate) getmecoat if it helps to provide a ball-park figure?

I take it it's not something you have done down your local garage?

To be honest its a st car and after a remap it will still be a st car

Spend the same money on a driving experience day it will be better value for money
That is one of the rudest posts I've seen here, and that's saying something... Would you say that to someone in person?
Come with the territory, don't they, but thank you for your support uncinquesei smile Water off a ducks...

We can't all afford posh, flash motors and it serves its purpose - more importantly I'm happy with it.

Thin, thanks for your idea - I do like it, but an answer best used in another thread, me thinks.

Back to the tuning boxes - so if all they do is con the system into putting more fuel in, how can that improve economy - more power, less throttleto achieve same speed, that kind of thing? So why don't they set them up like that from the factory?

Do remaps provide better economy that a tuning box, or do they just it a safer, more refined way?

Thanks for the posts, most (hehe) of which have been very informative, and contradictory to boot
