Remap Science, turned up early and only around six hours after booking.
Nice chap, had a great chat about cars in general.
No pay if your not happy.
Only re-mapped a Focus 1.6, no great power increase but much improved throttle response and made the dog carrying sh!tter much nicer to drive.

Very happy with the service.

So what is your experience?

Turned up early? Did he map it on your drive or something? How much did you pay to get this Focus remapped?
Yes re-mapped on my drive.
£200, a good price. Didn't expect much but he was very professional. If you want the rolling road before and after he did offer it.
As is said not turned it into a hp monster but much improved.

Local tuning centre wanted £300 for the same service.

You spent £200 to remap a 1.6 Focus?

Or a lot more to swap it, i drive 15 miles a day to work. Standard it was awful. So yes i consider £200 to be sweet FA compared to changing cars.
Guess what? We don't all drive proper fun cars.
For the money it seems a big improvement.

First commute with the new map, really feels much livelier low down the rev range, where it sits most the time. Top end feels no different, the annoying glitch just off idle has vanished making it far nicer and no need to rev it off the line.

Trip computer reported 40.1mpg, usually see around 34mpg. Quite a difference.

Very happy so far. Why all the fuss about £200? A noisy backbox costs far more and does nothing at all?

It's no sports car and never will be which isn't it's role anyway, but is far nicer.

Near my biggest thread ever!

Journey home reported much better MPG again on the trip.
Difference feels hugely more than the 10BHP it says.
As i said earlier it really doesn't feel any different over 4k, below is feeling totally different.
Engine feels like it wants to move, very low rpm is so different, can pull away with literally no throttle and really picks up just off tickover.
It's no sports car of course but feels like it's gone from a poor 1.6 to a reasonable 2l engine.

MPG up around 15% on previous. If it's just a rejigging of the pedal to throttle i don't care. It feels better so therefore is.

FFS £200 is a beer money these days.
