Got a call from my pregnant partner at 0645 this morning, crying her eyes out she told me someone has gone into the back off her and drove off.

She was stationary at a roundabout with traffic lights, when he attemptted at the last minute to get into the middle lane as it was clear.

He failed, smashing her bumper to pieces.

The lights went green and the roundabout was busy with traffic so my partner went round and pulled into the nearest bus stop. (70m round the roundabout he was following)

Said wker drove off.

She now realises that she should have stopped at the scene, but in shock and being a pregnant panicking women she thought otherwise.

Phoned up Leeds CCTV and they have none on that road, reported it to the police 'nothing they can do about it' 'you will have to get your insurers to investigate'. Unbelieveable.

OH has now come back from docs, baby seems ok. We couldnt give a st about claims or whiplash.

Just want the tt brought to justice.

Oh and the car?

Council estate citroen picasso, guess i was right about them all along.

Wouldn't surprise me if they thought her driving off was her making a run for it too so just thought "fk it" and went.

Did she not get the reg number?
She drove 70m indicated and pulled in, he was behind her at that time.

As she pulled in, he drove off.

Glad the wife is OK... same thing happened to my wife when she was 8 months pregnant, she ended up in hospital for three days.

But I have to ask, why 'unbelievable'?

Its a minor road traffic accident and there are no injuries. What do you expect the 'authorities' to do? Theres no CCTV images to review, what actions should they take?

Beleive it or not, this is what your insurance is actually for.
How do i go about claiming if the person who caused the accident he fked off?

It will probably be cheaper to get a second hand bumper and fix it myself.

This is not really a whinge at the police, more at the tt that drove off.
