Hi all,

I'm wondering if anybody has ever used the company 'Superchips' to have their A3/A4 1.8T engines remapped? Obvious this engine is used in Golf's and Seat Leon's likewise, so same question applies.

I'm just trying to find out what the best company is for a remap. There is a Superchips dealer about 15 miles from my house, so they would be an 'easy' option.

Cheers

Thanks for the responses guys!

Yes I get the impression that Superchips really know what they're doing. I've heard a lot about REVO as well, they are obviously pretty good too.

I have been in contact with AMD in Essex, and they claim they can get 70 Nm of torque with + 40-45 bhp. They're also £100 cheaper than Superchips....but again, I don't know if they are as good as Superchips or REVO (and Id have to travel all the way to London which is a pretty epic journey for where I live)

My engine code is AGU

It seems that they don't do the Bluefin for my car - only on later VAG group petrol turbos....mmmm

I'd go to AMD as well. They do custom maps (granted this doesn't always mean "better") so if your planning on doing any supporting mods, do them before the map and they will be taken into account.

AMD seem to have a somewhat optimistic rolling road which will give you a lovely prinout smile
Again, many thanks for all the advice guys! I'm not going to do any other modifications, I'm just looking for a remap to 'wake the car up'. It drives great as it is, but with a turbocharged petrol...I just find myself thinking 'it's a bit of a crime not to do remap it' haha! I want to keep it as standard as possible other than a remap smile

Perhaps AMD could well be the best option, especially at £100 cheaper than Superchips. It's just the 250 + mile round trip that is putting me off...but if it's worth it and all that!
