Electric handbrakes

We collect our new Insignia on Friday (2 weeks early, thanks to Walkers of Worksop).

The only concern I have is the electric handbrake.

How do you ensure it is on securely?

I always park in gear, but I will still worry about this, what do you ensure yours is on?

From what has been said above, I guess I will leave the car in gear, and hope for the best.

It sounds like Vauxhall are the worst of the lot
