So, is your car fast?
Discussion
The Passat is not fast - in fact it is juusssstttt on the acceptable side of adequate for the daily hack.
The Caterham I would say accelerates quickly, corners quickly, stops quickly and feels quick at normal speeds.
A pretty low top speed due to the gearing, diff and aerodynamics, but yes, on balance I class it as 'fast'.
eta, the wife's Auris is not even adequate - in fact it is so slow and feels such hard work on the motorway that I actually hate the bloody thing.

Define "fast" i.e acceleration, 0-60 etc.etc. I have a Ford Mondeo Estate. I had it at max Leptons at J8,M25 when I met an unmarked Audi; should have known better being in Bandit country but yes,at that time my Dad taxi was "fast!!!" BTW he was an basolut gent by giving me his best glare then going after the mid-lane hoggers!! Phew!

E46 M3 and I'd classify it as quick and not fast, my espace on the other hand.....
As with this, I think the CSL is pretty quick, but not "can't breath" fastThe Alpina C2.5 will just about keep pace with a modern 520d, and as a friend of mine said: "If it's a couple of decades old and you can feel yourself being pushed back into the seat, it was fast in its day"
