What does FSI mean

Going to look at and hopefully buy a new car tomorrow
An Audi exactly the same as mine now only it has less miles and more power is two years younger and has lovely leather which mine does not
the engine is an FSI
but I haven;t a clue what that means
A guy in work thinks it has something to do with the injectors and making it more economical as a 1.6
anyone gone better idea?

according to Parkers
the car I have a 1.4 SE gets 47mpg, which is not far off what i get 42-45mpg
i am buying the same car only in a 1.6 FSI sport with leather and more kit
Parkers is saying it will give 48mpg
if i get anything over 40 it's what i consider good
is it true as it's another 200cc
