Right, recently acquired another 206 2l hdi, came cheap because it needed the high pressure pump on the engine changing. But it came with a known good pump. Came to change it today, and noticed on the new pump where the fuel lines connect to, one of the metal clips is missing from the pump. Allthough not threaded i managed to pull one out with a bit of force from the old pump. However it does not seem to want to seal in the new pump, its very easy to pull out and i don't think it would withstand the pressure when its running.

So does anybody have any idea where i can get a new one from? Or how i can get the one i have to seal in? Will upload a photo of what i mean later on.

Yep one of those. The one on the old pump came out quite easily, very little force needed and that never leaked, its just not gone into the new pump very tightly.

I think its the return feed as well. Its just doesn't seem to sit in very tight, but in not sure if its because ive squashed it a bit pulling it out the old pump, I think a new one might just sit in properly and seal. But its finding someone that supplies them.

Didn't think of that, but there's no thread on the union. Also how would it react with diesel?

Right I tried the other spare connector in it tonight, and that went in and was a lot tighter, took almost the same amount of force to pull out as the original did in the original pump. But eventually it still gave so think it just needs something to seal it in for good. Just wondering if anybody has any recommendations on what sort of loctite or equivalent I should try & get for it bearing in mind there is no thread.
