I'm thinking of selling my jaguar xfr and replacing it with 2 cars.

Always hankered after a car I can keep garaged, a nice sunny day driver and that won't depreciate too much.

My budget is up to 40k for the weekend car, probably will be a 2 seater but something with 4 seats (XKR / 911) would be great, although not too fussed (back seats only used by the kids... Squeezed in) I was naturally thinking of an Aston Martin vantage.

Then I was actually thinking of a plug in Prius as a daily run about which suits my frequent but many journeys and also my place of work has a free charge point. Only concern is I detested the Prius and still do, so dull and unimaginative but pretty practical and also cheap to buy through the business. Knowing that I still had something fun for evenings and weekends might take them edge off?

Mrs has the big family car so that is sorted.

Any ideas?

Love the xfr but kinda thinking something smaller and a bit lighter perhaps with a manual would be more fun.

Plus I love the noise and to hear it usually yields about 12mpg.

I actually been thinking a lot about a mint e46 m3 cs or possibly even a csl for long term value + incredible induction noise and lovely balance for uk A roads.

Not sure still on sensible choice but I wished there was a plug in hybrid in a nice shell like a BMW, audi or merc. The all electric i3 might be too limiting.
