I just moved to New York, i'm looking for a daily driver (ALL motorway - not the NY grids you imagine). But I want something fun which i can nip out of the city and get a weekly dose of fun. There will probably be some good road trips on the cards too. I've looked at the mustangs and the challengers and i realise i want something which handles well primarily, power is a close second.

I'm going to lease and have a budget of around $20k - $25k to spend which puts all of these cars in scope:

New Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT85 - Would blend in and should be fun but i'm coming from a torquey bmw diesel so worry it'll feel slow.
Nearly New BMW 135i coupe - Is probably the car which ticks the most boxes, but would lack the sense of occasion.
Used BMW z4 3.0si coupe (e85) - Would love one of these but finding a tin-top with manual for lease is tricky to impossible.
Nearly new Nissan 370z - Has more poke than the BRZ, and more sense of occassion than the 135, but i'm not sure it'll feel as nice as the z4.
Porsche Boxster - I'd kill for a Cayman but they're out of the price range. Despite having the best intentions of really using it's performance, I'm not sure i can cope with the ridicule of owning Boxster.

Any thoughts or experiences welcome!
